ANN ARBOR, MICHIGAN, March 19, 2013 – Interlink Networks, LLC today announced the release of RAD-Series Version 8.1. Telecommunications providers, ISPs, business enterprises, and universities alike have used the RAD-Series RADIUS server’s Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting (AAA) services to secure their wired and wireless networks since 1992.
This release implements the first phase of the next generation Session Manager, used to track user sessions and provide the foundation for an expanding suite of session based services. Beyond establishing the new session management architecture, this phase of the project delivers flexible generic session token pools, accounting recovery when the NAS fails to deliver Accounting-Stop records, quicker recycling of system resources, greater configuration control of session management, and performance improvements. Other new features include support for Chargeable-User-Identity, Delegated-IPv6-Prefix, new tunneling parameters, and expanded server configurability through the RAD-Series Server Manager web-based user interface. Please see the RAD-Series Roadmap to read more about the upcoming phases of the next generation Session Manager.
Please see the RAD-Series Version 8.1.0 release notes for complete details. RAD-Series Version 8.1 is available for both the Sun Solaris and Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating systems. Customers with current maintenance contracts are entitled to Version 8.1 as a free upgrade. New licenses and evaluations can be requested by contacting sales.
